Breaking the Chains: Nurturing Dreams Beyond 'No' π
Rise Above: The Freedom to Dream π
These two words—"NO" and "WHY"—hold the power to transform our entire existence.
Dad, Mom, I want to be an actor. π The answer is almost always, "No. You should become a doctor or an engineer."
Mom, Dad, I want to study abroad. π "No, you should stay in our city."
Mom, Dad, I want to go out and play. ⚽ "No, focus on your studies."
Mom, Dad, I feel like going on a trip. ✈️ "No, sit down and study quietly."
From a tender age, children are conditioned by the relentless sound of "no," shaping their minds to focus on limitations. As we grow older, this conditioning manifests as a paralyzing fear—fear of stepping out, of playing, of living freely.
Why? Because we fear the reprimand of our parents.
This fear is the silent killer of dreams, driving people into a monotonous race where depression and frustration are the norms.
When we muster the courage to voice our struggles, to confess that we are drowning in depression, 90% of parents respond with scolding rather than understanding. π
Why is this?
The answer lies in society’s oppressive grip. π
Our parents, in their fear of losing societal respect or facing ridicule, unintentionally impose these invisible chains upon us, oblivious to the pain they inflict.
But what is this society?
Where is this invisible entity that denies children the right to dream, to live independently? π±
Is our society truly this fragile?
Every individual is born with a unique spark, a potential to touch the sky if only nurtured. ✨ But where is our chance?
Think of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Amitabh Bachchan, Mukesh Ambani, Ratan Tata, Narendra Modi—did their parents not fear societal judgment? Absolutely not. Without their fearless support, legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Amitabh Bachchan would not have graced our world. π
Today, I pose this question to you all—do our children not deserve the right to dream, to live, to soar? π️
Can we not offer our children the freedom to chase their dreams? π
This isn’t merely a blog post; it’s a heartfelt plea. It’s the voice of every soul yearning to realize their dreams. It’s a call for balance between "no" and "why," urging us to cultivate dreams rather than stifle them. Let us become the champions of our children's dreams, nurturing their potential, and allowing them to rise above the constraints of "NO." ππ
